APRA Florida Election 2008:

At the close of the nomination period for the APRA-FL Board of Directors, there was one nominee for each open position.  In light of this, the board of directors acted to directly appoint the nominees and forgo continuation of the election process. 

Congratulations to the new officers appointed for the 2008-2009 year: Mark Noll, President-Elect; Erin Hoyle, Chief Financial Officer; and Mary Jamieson Dee, Chief Information Officer.  The new officers will officially be installed into their new roles effective July 1, 2008.  This is also the first year that our new process of transitioning the sitting President-Elect to President, and sitting President to Immediate Past President will take effect.  As of July 1^st, Debbie Menoher will become the President of APRA-FL, and Steve Knight will assume the role of Immediate Past President.   Your new board will for the next year will be composed as follows:

·         Chief Financial Officer:                                          Erin Hoyle, Florida State University Foundation

·         Director of Professional Development:               Brenda Knight, Flagler College

·         Director of Membership and Marketing:           Debbi Mirra, Morton Plant Mease Healthcare Foundation

·         Director of Technology (non-voting):            Audrey Geoffroy, University of Florida Foundation

·         Immediate Past President:                                  Steve Knight, University of Florida Foundation 

Lori Hood Lawson, Elaine Kessinger and Erika Henderson will be rotating off the board upon installation of the new officers.  The chapter wishes a heartfelt THANK YOU to Lori, Elaine and Erika for their service as officers and volunteers for APRA-FL. 

Also, the efforts of this year's Election Committee were much appreciated; thanks go to Mia Clay of the Orlando Regional Healthcare Foundation and Debbie Savage of the, University of Florida Foundation.
